Submittion** Please kindly be aware that submitting a manuscript to JAD implies that the content has not previously been published or is not currently being considered for publication elsewhere. Brief abstracts published in the proceedings of scientific meetings or symposiums are acceptable. ### **1.1 Privacy and Data Protection** By submitting a manuscript to or reviewing at JAD, you agree that your name, email address, affiliation, and any other contact information requested during the process of submission will be used for the publication's regular operations, including, when necessary, sharing with partners for production and publication. JAD understands the importance of protecting the personal data collected and has policies and protocols to ensure that measures are taken to maintain the security, integrity, and privacy of personal information processed. Aims and Scopes** JAD publishes articles in all the fields of dentistry, focusing on new ideas and advancements that drives the dental science forward. Journal of Advanced Dentistry is to provide a purpose of bringing scientific research, newer techniques and opinions to a wider audience of dental professionals around the globe in order to improve the clinical outcome of dental treatment. Authors are welcomed to submit their manuscripts in the fields of but not limited to the following: - Digital Dentistry - Esthetics Orthodontics and Aligners - Orthodontics and Perio /Pedo/Prostho layovers - Maxillofacial Surgery - Implantology - Restorative Dentistry - Endodontics - Dental Education - Laser Dentistry ### **2.1 Article types** Authors are able to submit any type of manuscript. - Reviews - Original Research / Randomized Clinical Trials - Case Report / Case Serie - Expert Opinion / Short Report --- ## **3. Submission requirements** Authors are expected to adhere to certain guidelines when submitting their papers. Manuscripts should be uploaded in two files (Title Page and a Main Text) files. This will assure Anonymization during the double blinded review process. ### **3.1 Title Page** The title page file contains the following:

Running Title
(The running head is a shortened version of your paper's title and cannot exceed 50 characters including spacing and punctuation)
Authors names
(First Name with middle name initial if applicable, Last Name)
Affiliations for each author
(using a supertext number after the name of the author, shared affiliations should be combined)
Author Contribution statement
(In case of multiple authors, if you would like to specify each one’s contribution, you could write a small paragraph here using such statements: “Conceptualization, X.X. and Y.Y.; methodology, X.X.; software, X.X.; validation, X.X., Y.Y. and Z.Z.; formal analysis, X.X.; investigation, X.X.; resources, X.X.; data curation, X.X.; writing—original draft preparation, X.X.; writing—review and editing, X.X.; visualization, X.X.; supervision, X.X.; project administration, X.X.; funding acquisition, Y.Y.”. Don’t forget to add this statement as well: ““All authors have read and agreed to the published version of the manuscript.” It is important to note that authorship is limited to those who have contributed significantly to the manuscript submitted.)
Abstract
(A single paragraph of about 200-250 words maximum. Abstracts are meant to give a relevant overview of your manuscript. We strongly encourage authors to use the following style of structured abstracts: (1) Objective: Write the aim of and the main question addressed in your manuscript, and highlight the purpose of the study; (2) Materials and Methods: briefly describe the main methods or treatments applied; (3) Results: summarize the article's main findings; (4) Conclusion(s): summarize and indicate the main conclusions or interpretations. The abstract should be an objective representation and an overview of the manuscript. It must contain the same results verified and listed in the main text and it must address the conclusion simply with no exaggeration.)
Acknowledgments
(It could be the case you would like to thank and give acknowledgment for individuals who have contributed to the study, but their contribution wasn’t in authorship or funding. This may include administrative and technical support, or other help like donations in kind (e.g., materials used for experiments) or even labs or clinics where the study was performed.)

- It is important not to mention anything revealing the identity of the authors in the "Main Text" file.
Patents
- Supplementary Materials
  (Mention the supplementary materials uploaded with the main text. You can upload any supplementary materials you see necessary "Additional required files" during submission. We will upload it later to our servers to make it available to the readers in our future.)
- Funding
  (In case that research has been funded. Please state both the name of the funder and the grant number as such: “This research was funded by NAME OF FUNDER, grant number XXX”. Otherwise, state this: “This research received no external funding”. It is important to give accurate details and spelling, or this kind of mistakes could affect your future funding.)
- Institutional Review Board Statement
  (If the study involves humans or animals, please write here in this section the Institutional Review Board Statement and approval number, use a statement as such: “The study was conducted according to the guidelines of the Declaration of Helsinki, and approved by the Institutional Review Board (or Ethics Committee) of NAME OF INSTITUTE (protocol code XXX and date of approval).” In case the approval was not obtained you can state this as such: “Ethical review and approval were waived for this study, due to REASON (please provide a detailed justification).” If your study doesn’t involve humans or animals, you can simply state “not applicable” in this section.)
- Informed Consent Statement
  (Keep in mind that any study that involves human subjects, a written informed consent must be obtained from every single subject, and this will be stated in this section as such: “Informed consent was obtained from all subjects involved in the study”. In case the consent was not obtained for a reason, you can state this as such: “Patient consent was waived due to REASON (please provide a detailed justification)”. If your study doesn’t involve humans or animals, you can simply state “not applicable” in this section, or simply just don’t include anything.)
- Conflicts of Interest
  (In this section, authors should declare if there was any personal circumstances or interest that may influence the representation or interpretation of the research results. If there was any role by the funders affecting the design, analyses or the interpretation of the study and/or the publication of the results, this should be reported too. Otherwise, you can simply state the following: “The authors declare no conflict of interest.” OR “The funders had no role in the design of the study; in the collection, analyses, or interpretation of data; in the writing of the manuscript, or in the decision to publish the results”.)
- Appendix A, B, C
  (The appendix section is optional. Here you can add any supplementary data in assistance to your text, for example: explanations of experimental details that would disrupt the flow of the main text but nonetheless remain crucial to understanding and reproducing the research shown; figures of replicates for experiments of which representative data is shown in the main text can be added here if brief, and lastly, any mathematical proofs of results not central to the paper can be added as an appendix. Please keep in mind that anything added in the appendix must be appropriately cited in the main text. Multiple appendices are possible.)
